In order to avoid crowds, this year's special fall foliage viewing will be arranged by appointment only during the following period.

Special fall foliage viewing for 2023 will be from Saturday, November 11, to Sunday, December 5.

But fall is not the only time to view the leaves.
Although Enkouji Temple is visited by many people from all over Japan when the fall foliage is at its peak, its moving scenery can also be enjoyed in other seasons. For example, in spring, the weeping cherry trees are in full bloom. In summer, the moss and trees shine, fresh and glorious. Try something different from the usual autumnal scenes, and you may discover something new to appreciate.
